Week of December 10th

Yay, we made it to school today!! I am so glad that we did not have to miss another day, even though they said we need to make it through tonight. I know some of you were having to go back and forth through the blog, because you were not receiving e-mails about the "Sneak-a-Peek at next Week". So, after fumbling through and playing with it (our ITS specialist, Mrs. Black, actually figured it out), I will post blog information about the content through a post instead of on the side.
Here goes:

It is important for them to realize that studying at the last minute is not a good practice to begin. They need to be studying a little each day we take notes. Remember to check Google Classroom.

Math
Module 2 Lessons 6- 13
Quiz on lessons 6-11 on Tuesday (This may change depending on how tomorrow goes with the review.)


Reading
R.A.C.E. Strategies, complete/incomplete sentences
"Dear Juno" story and begin theme.
nonfiction, Opinion writing, text connections, context clues
Review plot, visualizing, comparing different viewpoints, character traits, dictionary skills, fiction and nonfiction differences, suffixes -ed, -ing, text features will be incorporated into all subjects .
Dear Juno test on Thursday, Dec.12 (I originally told the kids Wednesday but that's not going to work)


Social Studies
Explorers: DeSoto, Ribault, Pardo, Woodward, and Hilton
