Thank You

I want to say thank you all for the birthday gift. My morning started off awesome as I walked into a classroom full of superheroes. By the way, we think Matthew may be the real "Spiderman"! His costume actually looked like Tony Starks could have made it. 🙆 I was even able to wear my own superhero cape on Friday. I, also, received a Superhero monogrammed water bottle, balloons, cake, ice cream, and I received a nice "R" keychain along with some well thought out handmade cards. Thank you so much for everything!!! I have the most awesome parents!!

Class and Club Pictures

Class and Club Pictures will be taken Wednesday, January 23rd. 

Be sure to check emails, many clubs request that students bring their club shirts to wear for that group photo. 

                                        Please arrive to school on time, pictures begin early.

Future Chefs Competition

We are thrilled to announce that Richland 2 will be participating in the Future Chefs National Challenge again this year! This year, we are accepting entries grade 3 through 5. The idea behind this event is to help educate the kids in HEALTHY EATING HABITS. Too often we hear about obesity in kids and kids not making the right choices in terms of their eating habits. That is why we want kids to submit recipes for their favorite Fiesta Fit - healthy Mexican food! Judging will be based on the following criteria:

 Originality  Kid Friendly  Ease of Preparation  Healthy Attributes  Plate Presentation  Taste

PEEK INTO THE WEEK

We are starting a new quarter this week. Please remember to check folders every Friday (with the exception of this past week - my birthday celebration threw me off schedule...sorry and thank you)!! Sometimes in the folders are papers that we have completed through the week and just reviewing their errors will make a world of difference.
