Mother-Son Skate Night

LCE PTO Presents…

Mother-Son Skate Night! Monday, March 4th from 6-8pm at Skateland (800 Bookman Rd, Elgin)

Moms, Grandmothers, Aunts, or anyone with a special LCE boy is invited to join us for an evening full of fun on wheels! We will enjoy pizza, chips, drinks, games, a photo booth, and of course, ROLLER SKATING!!!

$25- One Son Attending

$35-Two or more Sons Attending

(Max cost for any family is $35)

This includes skating, skate rental, pizza, chips and drinks. A full concession will be open with other food and snack options available for purchase. Skatemate rental also included, if needed (limited quantities).

Look for payment forms to come home this week.

Books Donated to Our Classroom 

Thank you to Nate, Avery, and Anthony for the donations to our class library. We've already read Before She Was Harriet and they were so amazed at the interesting facts they did not know about Harriett Tubman. They've already started talking about Hidden Figures because a few of them have seen the movie and remember Katherine Johnson. I'm using The Bad Seed to review theme and details.

LCEU School News

Upper Campus Service Learning Project

Earlier this school year, multiple wildfires destroyed areas of Southern and Northern California, so LCEU's students are raising money to support the communities affected by the Camp, Woolsey and Hill fires.

As students bring in the designated donation for each day next week, they will be able to participate in spirit day activities. The spirit week schedule is below.  Students will also be learning about fire safety during the week.

All of the funds raised will be donated to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund, which supports intermediate and long-term recovery efforts for major California wildfires, as well as preparedness efforts.
